December First Friday | Home for the Holidays

Join us for our December First Friday: Home for the Holidays! Come visit downtown Americus and see all we have to offer. Downtown Merchants will have discounts and sales, and Restaurants will be open and providing deals and discounts.

This year, we are partnering with Sumter Players Inc. to provide a Victorian Christmas experience. The Victorian carriage will be relocated to Rylander Park as a special photo stop. Community members are encouraged to dress in Victorian attire and post their photos to Facebook using #AChristmasCarolinAmericus. Each tagged photo will be automatically entered into a contest, with three winners receiving two complimentary tickets to a performance of A Christmas Carol the following week.

During First Friday, cast members will also present a short scene from the show in the lobby of the historic Windsor Hotel, with performances at 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 7:00 pm. Attendees are invited to enjoy free figgy pudding and non-alcoholic wassail, generously served at Little Brothers Bistro
